Community Pride

Community Pride has been heavily involved in the Need NOT Greed campaign from the beginning and a number of people participated in the launch of the campaign at Westminster in February 2009.

Community Pride has been working with Oxfam for  a number of years forming a local working group on the informal economy and has released the report  ‘Invisible Workers: The Informal Economy Report’  jointly produced by Community Pride and Oxfam. The report is available for free download and referenced on the Oxfam UK Poverty blog.

Community Pride have been actively campaigning on the issues that arose from this working group and have been organising roundtable discussions with their local council to address and harness the informal economy

Community Pirde has recently become part of Chuch Action on Poverty, CAP which will enable them to expand their support and share their experiences and knowledge with other anti poverty activists
