WIEGO recession watch report; impact on the infomal sector

WIEGO, a coalition partner has released a report looking at the impact of the recesion on the infomal economy and how people in the infomal market are hardest hit by the recession and left the most vulnerable.

Here in the UK we have heard similar stories about less opportunities, more exploitative work practises and people trying to claim for the first time but not being able to as employers haven't been paying NI contributions..

We hope to be able to make UK comparisons to this and develop an understanding on how the most vulnerable in our society have been hit by the economic crisis, do get in touch if you want to contribute!
